How It Works

Program Breakdown

01 Session Structure

Each 2-hour session breaks down into 45 minutes of hitting, 45 minutes of position-player-focused throwing, and 30 minutes of performance training, giving athletes a complete, balanced session every time they're in the building.

02 Age-Based Groups

Athletes ages 8u through 18u are grouped by age level, with a 4:1 player-to-coach ratio so every athlete gets hands on coaching and individualized attention.

03 Schedule

Sessions run Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with start times at 5:45, 6:30, and 7:15 PM, December 6th through March 11th, 14 weeks in total.

Joie Fittante
Softball Coach
Joie Fittante
Joie Fittante is a former Division I softball player at East Carolina University, where she had a successful four-year career primarily playing catcher, first base, and DP. Prior to ECU, Joie was a four-year All-State athlete and six-year varsity starter, breaking multiple school records throughout her high school career. After graduating from ECU, Joie earned her Master's Degree in Social Work, bringing a unique combination of high-level athletic experience and experience working with children and adolescents to her coaching. Joie is passionate about helping athletes develop their skills, build confidence, strengthen their softball IQ, and reach their full potential both on and off the field. Lincoln Hochmuth

Lincoln Hochmuth
Lincoln pitched at Augsburg University for four years before moving into coaching at the youth, high school, club, and college levels. In 2019 he became Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at North Iowa Area CC and was promoted to Head Coach in 2022, earning ICCAC Coach of the Year after setting the program's single-season wins record. Over his three years at NIACC, the Trojans sent more than 50 players to four-year schools, including 30+ to Division I. In 2023, he was invited to the Texas Rangers Coaches ID Program, where he connected with top minds in player development. At The Shed Athletics, Lincoln leads all throwing development with a focus on biomechanics and pitch design, helping pitchers move efficiently, refine their arsenal, and compete at the highest level.
